After the launch of the Africa Twin, Honda another bike has now been announced for India in the premium segment. Its price here starts from Rs 26.85 lakh. It is powered by a flat six 1,833cc engine with 4 valves per cylinder (previous Gold Wing had 2 valves per cylinder). Peak power of 125bhp arrives @ 5,500rpm, with peak torque of 170Nm delivered @ 4,500rpm.
Design and Features
New Honda Gold Wing features lightweight and rigid twin-spar aluminium frame. This allows the new 2018 Gold Wing to deliver exceptional performance and handling. It also gets single-sided Pro-Arm swingarm, which makes the handling even more responsive. Comfort features on offer are five-position heated grips, adjustable heated seats, foot-warming system ensures comfortable winter rides, etc.
Other notable features in the 2018 Honda Gold Wing include a 7.0-inch TFT colour instrument display with Apple CarPlay, full LED lighting, auto-cancelling indicators, Smart Key control and electrically adjustable windscreen (for angle and height).

Engine
Powering this motorcycle is an 1,833cc, horizontally-opposed, six-cylinder engine that makes 127hp at 5,500rpm and 170Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. Importantly, the new engine uses a 4-valve per cylinder layout, unlike the 2-valve per cylinder setup on the outgoing Gold Wing. As mentioned, the Gold Wing for India will only be offered with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and will also be missing the six-speed manual option, as abroad.
