Kawasaki India already launched Versys 650 in 2015 as a lower version of Versys 1000 and the middle-weight sport bike has gained popularity in the India between the sports bike segment. But after-that in 2017 seen that its receive minor attraction while the industry moving to BS-IV. This time, Kawasaki has updated the versys 650 for 2018 with some graphics and minor updates.

As part of the BS-IV compliance update earlier this year, the Versys 650 received some value additions such as a gear-position indicator and a windscreen that can be raised or lowered by two inches (in a tool-free operation). The 2018 Versys 650 gets new graphics and the lime green & black paint scheme remains the same. The all rounder Versys 650 is ideally suited with Indian road conditions. Revamped for 2018, the Versys 650 gets several upgrades as compared to its earlier counterpart and a light weight chassis for more comfortable riding.

2018 Kawasaki Versys 650 gets its power via a compact 649cc parallel twin, 4 stroke, 2 cylinder, DOHC, water cooled, 4 valve per cylinder engine that combines maximum low and mid range torque and higher rpm performance. This engine develops 69 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque. engine comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Sitting on a diamond frame, the Versys 650 features a 120-section tyre at the front and 180-section at the rear.
ABS variant is good for safe riding and enhance the riding experience. Kawasaki also opened a new assemble plant in Chakan, Pune and the Versys 650 is being produced there along with the Z250, Ninja 300, Z650, Ninja 650 and Ninja 1000 (SKD). This version will be available on 22 Kawasaki Dealers across the country. This bike will rival direct to the Benelli TNT 600 GT.
