The BMW K1300R is a naked motorcycle launched at the end of 2008 with production ending in 2015. The K1300R continues to be the most powerful naked motorcycle BMW has ever produced, despite the model line being discontinued and replaced with the super bike derived S1000R. When launched, it replaced the K1200R as BMW’s flagship urban motorcycle. The motorcycle is available in two versions in the form of K1300R and K1300S.

BMW K 1300 Overview : The K1300R is considered a muscle bike, a slang term for naked or standard motorcycles that put an emphasis on high power output and fast acceleration. It’s close gearing and exceptionally broad power delivery provide the drive output power necessary to accelerate quickly, while its long wheel base and low and canted mounted engine help the motorcycle plant the power without unintentional power wheelies.

BMW K 1300 Specifications : It has a powerful 1293cc, 4-stroke, in-line 4-cylinders, 16-valves DOHC, water-cooled engine with a maximum power of 173 bhp at 9,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 140 Nm at 8,250 rpm and is mated with a constant-mesh 6-speed gearbox transmission via a shaft drive and in 1-down and 5-up shift pattern. It has a hydraulically operated multiple-disc clutch in oil bath, a bore and stroke of 80mm and 64.3mm respectively.
