Ford launched the BS6-compliant Aspire compact sedan earlier this year, alongside its hatchback sibling, the Figo, and the Freestyle cross-hatchback. Priced from Rs 5.99 lakh, the BS6 Aspire is available in a choice of four trim levels though the base variant is petrol only. There is a base diesel version on offer but it’s only available for commercial buyers. The BS4 car came with five trim levels. Interestingly, the starting price for the BS6 Aspire is identical to the BS4 model, though prices for select variants have dropped by as much as Rs 28,000. The diesel Trend variant is Rs 12,000 more expensive than the equivalent BS4 version.

Design and styling of the updated Aspire looks exactly similar to the Figo sedan, which is retailed in South African market. Measuring sub-4 metre in length, the new BS6 Ford Aspire features new headlamps cluster, a new honeycomb pattern chrome grille, updated front bumper black design element housing the central airdam and round fog lamps at the front end. Other key changes include a new pair of multi-spoke alloy wheels, revised ORVMs and re-designed taillamps with a thick chrome slat on the boot lid.

BS6 Ford Aspire – Interior:

The BS6 Ford Aspire interior continues to feature the beige and black dual-tone colour scheme. Moreover, the seats now offer better lumbar support. On the styling front, the dashboard has been restyled and comes equipped with a new 7.0-inch floating infotainment system. As for the Ford Aspire 2018 features, the top-spec variant gets Ford’s new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
