Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has lunched the new BS6 compliant Unicorn in India. Honda Unicorn is the commuter sport bike from Honda. The BS6 Honda Unicorn come with minor cosmetic change with updated BS6 standard emission engine and improved comfort ability with revised styling. The new bike gets a broader front cowl with a smoked screen and chrome garnish on the cowl. BS6 Honda Unicorn come with all-analogue instrument cluster halogen headlamp with Automatic Headlamp On (AHO), LED taillight, long or comfortable seat, alloy wheels, HET low rolling resistance tubeless tyres, engine kill switch and single channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). The new engine equipped with BS6 standard emission engine, counterbalanced technology, programmed fuel injection (PGM-Fi) system and Honda Eco Technology (HET) that improved refined performance and better fuel efficiency in the bike. BS6 Honda Unicorn continues to be available in three attractive colors options and only one variant including base variant is single disc brake with ABS option in India.

BS6 Honda Unicorn is powered by the all-new 162.71cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder, BS6 engine with Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-Fi) system and Honda Eco Technology (HET) that produces 12.73 Hp of power at 7500 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The new BS6 engine equipped with a counter weight-balancer that reduces vibrations and helps smooth acceleration in the bike. The new BS6 engine has been optimized for better fuel efficiency and more low-end torque. The suspension duties managed by telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic type monoshock at the rear. The Braking duties handled by a 240 mm disc brake at the front and 130 mm drum brake at rear with single channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) for the better handling braking duties and safe ride on the road.
