Mahindra motors recently added an automatic gearbox to its highly popular XUV500 SUV model lineup. Now, the BS6 Mahindra XUV500 diesel-automatic is available in three variants – W7, W9 and W11 (O) – priced at Rs 15.65 lakh, Rs 17.36 lakh and Rs 18.88 lakh respectively. Thus, the automatic version of the car costs Rs. 1.21 lakhs more than the respective manual variants, similar to how it was priced in BS4 guise. It must be noted that the automatic variant was dropped from the XUV500 range when the car was upgraded to comply with BS6 emissions regulations.

Visually, there are no new updates made to the XUV500 facelift. It already came with quite a few upgrades made to its front end with the addition of a new grille flanked by new projector headlamp units with DRLs along with LED tail lamps and beefier bumpers at both ends. The XUV500 subtly builds upon the styling with tweaked curtains on the bumper and new 17-inch machined alloy wheels.

As far as the BS6 Mahindra XUV500 interior is concerned, it comes with all-new premium fabric upholstery, newly styled steering wheel and rectangular-shaped AC vents on the central console. Additionally, it gets a tweaked 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice assistant command, 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, chrome and piano-black bits, and a faux-aluminium trim.
