Maruti Suzuki India has launched the 2019 Alto 800 facelift in the last year in the Market due to mandatory Emission norms. The updated Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 now comes with new safety features, BS-VI (BS6) compliant engine and several design tweaks. With all the fresh upgrades, the price of the new Alto 800 has seen a northward movement as well. The new Maruti Alto 800 is available in three variants — Alto Std, Alto Lxi and Alto Vxi. Alto Std and Alto Lxi get optional (O) variants as well. Starting with the standard equipment, the Alto now gets a driver’s side airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a seatbelt reminder and a speed alert system as standard. What’s more, the car’s structure has also been upgraded to help comply with the upcoming crash and pedestrian safety regulations.

The Exterior looks and style of the car are contemporary but still look a bit outdated if parked next to Hyundai Eon, Hyundai Santro and Chevrolet Spark. The front fascia of the car is marked by a twin grille and a pair of bulging headlights that smartly carry the turn indicators within them. The fog lights remain out of scene and clearly seem a loophole in the cost-cutting strategy of Maruti Suzuki. The box-shaped front part closely reminds you of Ford Figo. The side profile of the car is marked by an elegant shoulder-crease line that runs from the front end to the rear end and a pair of 12-inch well-sculpted twin rims that house 145/80 R12 tyres. The rear section of the car looks updated with a large windscreen underlined by a slightly bulging centre hump that carries a Suzuki logo and keyhole.

From the Inside, The interiors of the Alto 800 have been retained. The Alto 800 is a budget car and the interiors are basic to begin with. The dashboard is plain and dressed in a dark shade of grey with silver accents. The top spec car gets air-conditioning, power steering and front power windows. You also get a 1-DIN music system with two speakers in the front. Maruti has also started offering an optional driver airbag from the base variant for safety.
