Honda has just launched its much popular SUV in the segment WR-Vs facelift version by digital platform across the India. The starting preice of facelif WR-V from Rs 8.50 and goes upto 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Along with a number of changes to keep it looking fresh, Honda has also rationalised the range. There’s just two trims on offer with each of the engine options – the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel continue in BS6 form. Here we are going to compare the WR-V facelift with Tata Nexon facelift version which was launched earliear this year in this post. 2020 Honda WR-V facelift vs 2020 Tata Nexon – Design
Exterior:- From the outside, Honda has made quite a few visual changes to keep the car look fresh. Among these changes are the more pronounced creases on the front bumper, a new grille with horizontal slats, and new LED projector headlights along with LED tail-lights. There’s new 16-inch alloy wheels too – the petrol version gets 4-hole Berlina Black wheels while the diesel model gets 5-hole Shark Grey units. What has been carried over from the pre-facelift model are the roof rails and LED DRLs.
On the other hand, the 2020 Tata Nexon also has done some exterior looks to be in the race. Design changes to the Nexon are in-line with its EV sibling with a revised front fascia and a more upright look to meet the upcoming pedestrian safety norms coming into effect later this year. A major point of difference between the standard SUV and EV is the blue highlights on the exterior of the latter. The Nexon facelift is available in 5 trim levels – XE, XM, XZ, XZ+ and XZ+(O) – with the XM, XZ+ and XZ+(O) offering the option for an AMT gearbox.
Interior:- Inside of the Car, Honda WR-V facelift interiors have been carried over from the Jazz and so there are a lot of similarities. The dashboard design is exactly the same, except for a few changes. The seats are very supportive and we have always appreciated the company for offering well-cushioned seats on its cars. The cabin is very spacious as well; three people can sit comfortably at the back with plenty of headroom and legroom to spare. The quality of fit and finish is pretty good, even though it is not as impressive as in some other cars of this class.
The new Nexon interior features now an all-digital instrument cluster along with floating infotainment screen with mobile connectivity features as well. Apart from the new upholstery, the Nexon’s updated cabin also packs in new equipment to get it up to the mark with the competition. This includes a sunroof, fast mobile charger, rain-sensing wipers and cruise control.
