Kawasaki already launched 2019 Ninja ZX-6R in the start of the this year. This is the only bike of its kind and a true middleweight supersport motorcycle that is made mainly for fast lap time. 2019 Ninja ZX-6R is the latest iteration of Kawasaki middle-weight supersport offering. Positioned below the flagship ZX-10R, the ZX-6R is for budding motorcyclists upgrading from entry-level performance machines. Unveiled at EICMA 2018 in Milan, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R updated for new generation. Apart form few tweaks of styling bike also gets some electronics and motor updates.

On the other hand Yamaha relaunched MT-09 in India at Rs 10.88 lakh (Ex-showroom). It is almost Rs 48,000 cheaper than its previous version. The Yamaha MT-09 was re-introduced in the Indian Market in November 2017 with a few cosmetic updated and a BS-IV Compliant engine. Powering MT-09 is an  847cc in-line three cylinder engine that puts out 111 Bhp and 87.5 Nm of torque. The twin-eye headlamp setup with the LED strips running below makes the MT-09 look super angry. The headlamps are LED units. There are unique touches like the 3D LED tail-light, swingarm mounted rear fender and almost horizontally placed rear suspension.

While they may not be the same type of motorcycle, the comparison above clearly reveals how closely stacked they really are in terms of numbers. If you love fully-faired sports bikes and want to spend most of your time at the track, it is the Ninja ZX-6R that will tickle your fancy. That being said, the Yamaha MT-09 is no slouch at the track, it’s better-equipped and thanks to its ergonomics, is also an easier everyday bike.
