Ford Kuga – Overview
The Ford Kuga SUV could be the third SUV for the Indian market. At the moment, Ford has been struggling to make a mark in the Indian car market but the company has been doing a lot of exports. First the Ecosport, then the Figo and the Aspire.Ford has been successful with its SUVs in India. The Ecosport has been doing good numbers especially since its facelift. The Endeavour too is a strong product in the offering. Now, the company is looking at getting the new Kuga to India, Ford Kuga will be an exciting vehicle as it will also be a 5-seater SUV and shall be offered with diesel and petrol choices, there shall be automatics and even 4×4 on offer.

Powering the Kuga in India could be two engine options- a 1.5 L Turbocharged Petrol and a 2.0 L Turbocharged Diesel. Both these engines will come mated to a 6-speed Manual and 6-Speed Automatic Transmissions. The Petrol engine has a max. power-torque of 181 BHP-250 Nm. The Diesel engine outputs 147 BHP-370 Nm. Chances are India will get both FWD and AWD variants.

Exterior
The new Kuga’s design is similar to all the new Ford SUVs. In fact the front will resemble the Ecosport and even the Endeavour. There is a large chunky grille with chrome slate on it. The headlamps are well chiselled and the fog lamps meld with the design. There will be 18-inch alloy wheels, integrated spoiler. The side profile will look like a crossover. Ford Kuga’s front has good amount of road presence, while the aggressive continues to the rear. This SUV will be a good option to consider for those looking at a mid size premium SUV.
Interior
The Kuga gets all new different interiors. The interiors are all black and this does look sporty. The interiors of the Kuga are somewhat like the Endeavour as it does share some parts with it. The centre console has a large touchscreen infotainment system that even has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It gets SYNC3 and maps too. There are six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, brake assist and leather seats. there is more than sufficient space in both the rows and there is rear AC vent also.
