The new 125cc Honda motorcycle, called CB Shine SP, is a premium offering from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) in the 125cc space. It is powered by the same engine as the existing Honda CB Shine, but now gets a five-speed gearbox
The new 125cc Homda motorcycle will be offered in a total of 3 variants. Though the Honda CB Shine SP gets no mechanical changes, it sports a handful of design changes that lend the commuter bike a comparatively premium feel.
The SP in the name stands for ‘Smart Power’ technology, essentially the engine start and stop feature which shuts off the engine while idling for sometime and is restarted once the clutch is pulled in.
As mentioned above, the new Honda CB Shine SP will come powered by the same engine as the one that does duty on the exiting model. The 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with Advanced Honda Eco Technology (HET) offers a maximum power output of 10.57bhp along with 10.3Nm of peak torque. Honda CB Shine SP’s mileage is rated at 65Km/l.
The list of the new Honda CB Shine SP’s design elements comprise an all-new head-light cowl, silver finish for the side panels, new tail-lamp, black grab-rail, full chain cover, and clear-lense indicators. The new Honda bike also gets a slightly altered exhaust, exhaust muffler with chrome finish, and red rear suspension springs.
The Honda CB Shine SP is available in 5 colours, namely, Geny Grey Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Black, and Red Rebel Red Metallic.
