Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) unveiled the new X-Blade at the Auto Expo 2018 in India. The Honda X-Blade is a 160cc offering from Honda in the sporty commuter bike segment. The overall design of the X-Blade is similar to the Hornet 160R, but the X-Blade comes with premium features which set it apart from the crowd in the 160cc segment. The X-Blade has been positioned in a way to attract youngsters and for this purpose, it has adopted a very aggressive design language. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) will launch the new X-Blade in India by March 2018 and it will be priced between Rs 80,000 and Rs 85,000 (Expected Ex-Showroom Price).
Honda X-Blade Specifications:
Honda X-Blade is powered by a 162.7 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produce 13.6 bhp at 8500 rpm and 13.9 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Honda have equipped the X-Blade with marginally smaller tyres it rides on a 80/110R17 unit up front and a 130/70/R17 tyre at the rear. The sporty commuter motorcycle is based on the diamond frame chassis. The Suspension duties are performed by telescopic front forks and a monoshock unit at the rear. The bike also uses the same braking setup with a disc at the front and drum unit at the rear. The model does get Honda’s Combi-Braking System CBS).
Honda X-Blade Features:
The prominent feature of the Honda X-Blade is the LED headlamp setup. The first-in-segment Robo-Face full LED headlamp also gets position lamps, and the tail light unit is also LED. The Honda X-Blade also features a taller flyscreen, an underbelly cowl, chunky grab rails, a twin-pot muffler and a redesigned LED tail-lamp. The tail section of the Honda X-Blade features a split grab rail and razor edged tail lamp. The Honda X-Blade sports a muscular fuel tank design with aggressive black shrouds. The side panels are also finished in black color. The instrument console is completely digital with a gear-position indicator, service reminder, hazard lights, apart from the usual details. The motorcycle is equipped with dual outlet muffler which also enhances the looks of the motorcycle.
