India Kawasaki Motors has launched the new Ninja 400 in India. The new Kawasaki Ninja 400 will replace the Kawasaki Ninja 300 in International markets and India as well. The new Kawasaki Ninja 400 is more powerful, lighter and Euro-IV compliant. The new Kawasaki Ninja 400 is a lightweight sports tourer bike and based on the same frame and design as the younger Ninja 300. The new Ninja 400 features Kawasaki Ninja H2 inspired styling, LED headlight, Ninja ZX-10R inspired tail light, new engine and better performance. Kawasaki Ninja 400 Specifications:
Kawasaki Ninja 400 is powered the all-new 399cc parallel-twin, liquid cooled engine which is tuned to deliver 47.50 Bhp of power at 10000 rpm and 38 Nm of peak torque at 8000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike also features a assist and slipper clutch. The engine is claimed to offer better performance throughout the range, with improved low-down torque. The bike gets a larger air-box for increased intake efficiency.

Kawasaki Ninja 400 Features:
Kawasaki Ninja 400 draws styling cues from its supercharged liter-class sibling, the Ninja H2. The bike come with the dual headlight setup although it now features an LED illuminator. Apart from the headlight, the body panels, fairing and the fuel-tank too receive a design upgrade. However, the bike continues to use the fairing integrated front blinkers which give the motorcycle a clean design. The lightweight trellis frame contributes to weight-savings and the Ninja 400 weighs just 168 kgs. The Ninja 400 uses a rather simpler 5-spoke wheel design. The alloy wheels get a new design, the exhaust is all-new and bigger in size. There is also a new LCD instrument panel and a thicker seat foam. Other features the bike gets are a gear position indicator, LED tail-lights, chin spoilers and tail-cowl.

Kawasaki Ninja 400 Safety:
Stopping power is provided by a 310 mm petal disc with a two-piston calliper up front and a 220 mm petal disc with a two-piston calliper at the rear. The safety net includes Nissin ABS. The Ninja 400 use disc brakes at both ends to do braking duties, while ABS ensures the bike remains safe on wet and slippery roads.
