Japanese Joint Venture Suzuki India has launched Its much awaited premium bike “Kawasaki Vulcan S” in India at starting price of Rs. 5.44 lakh (ex-showroom). The Japanese manufacturer is positioning this as an urban cruiser for both male and female riders. A lot of focus has gone into making it accessible to all kind of riders. So the seat height has been kept at 705mm. Being a cruiser bike, the cruiser bike will be unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo in February 2018.
Design and Features
The Kawasaki Vulcan S gets all the necessary cruiser design elements like a low seat height, forward-set (relaxed) foot-pegs and a long wheelbase. The headlight gets a unique inverted triangle shape while the distinctively styled alloy wheels, under-engine exhaust and the tight-fit rear fender adds modern style.

Engine
Kawasaki Vulcan S powering the new motorcycle is a 650cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor which pushes out 61PS at 7500rpm and 62.78 Nm of peak torque which is made available at 6600rpm. A 6-speed gearbox takes care of transmission duties. The chassis is a diamond type frame which is suspended on telescopic front forks and 7-way adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking is done via disc brakes on both ends and ABS comes as standard. It weighs 226kg (kerb weight), while fuel tank capacity stands at 14 litres.
