Jan 24, 2012 – KTM’s Duke 200 launched in India. The KTM Duke 200 is the first Naked KTM Bike to be sold in India by Bajaj and is one of the most affordable performance motorcycles you can buy today. The bike’s overall design and styling is new to India as no other bike had the same design philosophy. It is manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan plant and is exported to many international markets.
KTM Duke 200 Overview : The design and concept of the bike is extremely new for Indians. Yes, we have seen bikes like Yamaha FZ before which also carry the naked looks but the premium touch and appeal of this bike makes it one of its kinds. Starting from its front, the bike has very slim headlight with no visor. The front mudguard is also short and simple in size but its big telescopic forks, disk plate and wider tyre makes it look macho.
KTM Duke 200 Specifications : The bike uses a single-cylinder, liquid- cooled 200cc engine. This 4-stroke, DOHC engine is very powerful as it churns out a maximum power output of 25 bhp at 10000 rpm. The torque output of this engine is 19.2 Nm which is available at 8000 rpm. The bike is equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox with one gear down and five gears up-shift pattern.
KTM Duke 200 Mileage : This bike gives 35 kmpl good but not enough mileage on Highway and 25 kmpl approx in city traffic.
KTM Duke 200 Top Speed : The claimed top speed is 138kmph while the bike can do 0-100 kmph in 9.3 seconds.
KTM Duke 200 Competitors : As this bike has own reputation in the market but this bike may gets tough competitions from TVS Apache 200 RTR, Royal Enfield Himalayan and Benelli TNT 25.
KTM Duke 200 Colors & Shades : It is sold in India in three colours – Orange, Black and White.
