Mahindra Convertible SUV Concept to be showcased at Auto Expo 2018; Expected Price in India, Launch Date, Features, Specs
Mahindra & Mahindra, a home-grown utility maker will be showcasing convertible SUV at the Auto Expo 2018 reports Autocar. The car maker has always surprised its audience with the concept cars at the motor show. The 2014 Auto Expo event saw the showcasing of Halo Electric sports car whereas XUV500 Aero concept that was unveiled at Auto Expo 2016. This year as well, the car maker will surprise the audience with sub-4m Convertible SUV.
According to media report, the new convertible SUV will be based on ladder-frame chassis that also underpin the Mahindra TUV300. Normally, convertible cars are built on monocoque platform. Report further suggests that the model will have a different styling and will carry sporty characters. The Mahindra convertible SUV concept will sit under 4 meter in length. Presently, not many details are known about wait for Auto Expo.
Coming to the powertrain options, the car maker could employ the new upgraded version of 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, mHawk100 diesel. The current version of the unit is tuned to make 100 bhp of max power with peak torque of 240Nm. However, there is no official confirmation if the company will introduce the production version of the Convertible SUV in the domestic market. Mahindra will look to gauge feedback in order to finalize its decision regarding the same.
