Mahindra Mojo launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.58 lakh

Mahindra Two Wheelers have finally launched the Mojo at Rs 1.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This is an introductory price which is valid for all bookings till Diwali.

After a protracted testing period Mahindra Two Wheelers has launched the Mojo in India at an introductory price tag of Rs 1.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

The Mojo is a naked motorcycle, which the company is marketing as a tourer. With a comfortable upright handle bar, long seat and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres, the Mojo is an impressive and practical motorcycle. With a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres which is the largest in its class, the Mojo can easily cover 600kms before heading to a petrol station. 

Mahindra has already received 100 bookings for the Mojo and has launched it in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune; it will be available across 10 select dealerships in Phase 1.Online bookings for the motorcycle start from October 16th.

Powering the new Mahindra Mojo is a 295cc displacement single-cylinder motor churning out 28PS at 8,000rpm and a peak torque rating of 30Nm at just 5,000rpm. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a six-speed transmission. The Mojo had been loaded with goodies like USD front forks, gas charged monoshock, LED pilot lamps and tail lamps, along with optional Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres. Braking is done by disc brakes at front and rear while ABS has been given the miss to keep cost under check.

Mahindra plans to market the Mojo as a touring motorcycle as it has a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres and 173.5mm ground clearance. The Mahindra Mojo will compete against the Honda CBR 250R and the Royal Enfield Classic 500 in the Indian market.
