The homegrown car manufacturer company Mahindra has a big plan for the year. The company already confirmed the launches of two very famous SUV’s in its portfolio. Mahindra XUV500 facelift and Updated Mahindra Scorpio are going to launch very soon in the market. Apart from, the company also have planned a 7-seater Tivoli base SUV, car name could be “XUV400” by the fresh media reports. Mahindra is a leading Utility Vehicle manufacturer company in India and wants to remain its position in the same category. The Company launched the first UV by the name of Xylo and Quanto, but both are didn’t find a way of success. Now the company has got success by Mahindra XUV500, Mahindra Marazzo and XUV300. It is reported that Mahindra will offer the new XUV400 in both 5 and 7-seat options. The exact launch timeline for the new Mahindra XUV400 is yet to be revealed; however, media reports suggest that the new SUV could be launched in early 2022. Once launched the Mahindra XUV400 will be competing with Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and Nissan Terrano.

Mahindra XUV400 7-Seater SUV – Engine Specifications
The Mahindra XUV400 will be powered by the brand’s new G15 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. This direct-injection engine churns out 163bhp of power and 280Nm of torque. The new model will also receive a diesel engine, which is likely to be the 1.5L turbocharged unit. While powering the Marazzo, this diesel engine produces 120bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. Both of the engines will be BS-6 emission norms compliant. The engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission.

By looking at the image of the test mule we can expect that the front of the SUV will feature the 7-slat grille of Mahindra which we have seen on every car that Mahindra has produced. The XUV400 looks like a mini version of the XUV500 instead looking like a stretched version of XUV300. Mahindra will give projector or an LED headlamp setup to the XUV400 with Daytime-Running Lamps. The side profile consists of wide and tall tires along with the roof rails to enhance the SUV appeal of the vehicle. The rear of the XUV400 may come with cladding and straight creases. Inside of the cabin, the car will be less with all latest features right from Touchscreen infotainment to Safety features such like ABS with EBD, Hill hold and descent control, Parking camera and Tyre pressure monitoring system.
