Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Overview:

Maruti Ertiga is a mid ranged MUV which is targeted solely at family oriented users. The USP of Maruti remains reliability and performance coming from the brand, this is exactly where Ertiga stands. The Suzuki Ertiga is a 7-seat mini MPV developed by the Japanese manufacturer Suzuki and its Indian subsidiary Maruti Suzuki, built on the Suzuki Swift platform. It was launched on 12 April 2012 in India.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Specifications:

The Maruti Ertiga model comes with both diesel and petrol variants. Both diesel and petrol variants contains a 4 cylinder in-line arrangement in the engine. The petrol variant of the vehicle is powered by a 1.4 litre power train. The petrol engine can generate a maximum power of 93.8 Bhp along with a maximum torque of 130 Nm with a displacement of 1373cc. The engine claims low NVH, low friction and is light weight.

On the other hand, the diesel engine is powered by a Multijet 1.3L turbo diesel engine with DDiS and a 1248cc of displacement. For better efficiency, the Ertiga’s diesel engine comes with Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT). The diesel can deliver a peak power of 88.8 Bhp with a peak torque of 200 Nm.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Exterior:

There are a few cosmetic changes to the exterior to differentiate it from its predecessor. The most evident change is the new two-slat grille in place of the current four-slat one. This is embellished in chrome to make the car look fresh. The front air intakes are also slightly modified and there are a few revisions to the bumper. There are no changes to the side, even the alloy wheels on the new car are same as before. The rear profile, on the other hand, gets its fair dose of chrome. There is an additional horizontal chrome stripe at the back and new reflector elements for the tail lamp. There is no drastic change in the way new Ertiga looks, but the onlookers will be able to distinguish this from the previous model.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Interior:

The cabin of the facelifted car retains the same layout and upholstery. However, there are a few additional features like the ones we saw on the Dzire facelift. The start-stop button is standard on the top-end variant and it gets the new music system with touch-screen and navigation. The other features include retractable ORVMs and 50:50 split third row seats.
