Nissan Micra was Launched in Year 2010 with its petrol variant with rising petrol prices demand for diesel car increased in India So Nissan Launched its Diesel variant which become an instant success as the car competes with Maruti Swift, Hyundai I20 and Ford Figo but still Micra has able to make a space for himself in the competitive Hatchback car market.

In India Nissan and Renault has come with a strategy of launching cars which are similar in all aspects but with a little twitch of there brand is added to differentiate the two car models. Same is the case with Nissan Micra and Renault Pulse. Pulse is actually looks like a re badge Micra Pulse was launched in 2012. There are very few factors that differentiate the cars so lets discuss them.


Nissan Micra vs Renault Pulse – Exteriors and Design:

Some say Nissan Micra has girly looks so whats bad in this not every car should have muscular looks Mirca can be said it is one of most beautiful looking hatchback. Micra comes with stylish exteriors with its beautiful eyed headlamps and twin grille at front The car have lots of curve and sportiness attached to it. The rear headlamps are good. Micra is available is very different and stylish colors which gives it an urban looks.

Renault Pulse is based on Micra so has lots of similarities except the headlamps which are more sportier and the front grill.

Nissan Micra comes with two types of interiors colors one is black and other beige. The car is mounted with built in music player. The seats are comfortable. The comes with a push to start button as an option, the feature which was not available till now in such a small hatchback car. The steering is simple and light. The car has good amount of leg space at front and rear when compared to its competitors like Swift. It comes with a boot space of 226 liters

Renault Pulse has brought plum and black dashboard in the lower variant while the top variant gets a griege dashboard which gives a feel of an expensive car. other then logo of Renault in Pulse steering rest of the car similar to Micra and comes with a slightly bigger boot space of 251 liters.

Nissan Micra vs Renault Pulse – Engine and Performance:

Nissan Micra has a powerful 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder engine which produces 75 Bhp at 6000 rpm and max torque of 104 Nm at 4000 RPM. The petrol variant has been rated by ARAI to deliver maximum fuel efficiency of 18.06 kmpl. The diesel engine variant comes with a 1.5 liter engine that produces 64 Bhp at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 160 Nm at 2000 rpm. The diesel variant has been rated by ARAI to deliver 18.08 kmpl.

Renault Pulse has a similar engine to Micra with a powerful 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder petrol engine which produces 79 BHP of power at 6000 RPM and 104 NM of torque at 4000 RPM. This engine is rated by ARAI to deliver a max fuel efficiency of 18.06 kmpl. The 1.5 liter K9K diesel engine in the Pulse produces 64 BHP at 4000 RPM and 160 NM of torque at 2000 RPM and has been rated by ARAI to deliver a maximum fuel efficiency of 23.08 kmpl.
