Renault Duster 7-seater Dacia – Overview

Renault Company planning to launch new-gen Duster with 7-seater version name Dacia in India, After set a new very popular SUV segment. Now company ready to introduced new Duster 7-seater Dacia. The French Car manufacturer is expected to launch the next-generation Duster in India sometime during late 2018. It made its public debut as Dacia badged Duster at the 2017 Frankfurt motor show before the Euro-spec model’s production commenced in Romania. But the arrival of Capture could delay the new Duster’s launch as Renault might not risk two products at similar price range reportedly.

Renault Duster 7-seater Dacia – Specifications

The 2018 Duster will get new Petrol and Diesel engines. The current 1.5-litre K9K Diesel engine will be replaced with a new 1.6-litre version. This new Diesel engine could offer as much as 21 KMPL and 130 BHP of max. power. The current 1.6-litre Petrol engine could be replaced by a 1.2-litre Turbo-petrol motor. This engine could offer upto 124 BHP and 20 KMPL. Transmission duties for both Petrol and Diesel engines will be taken care by 6-Speed Manual and AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) units.

Exterior

New Renault Duster can be seen as a highly reworked version of styling. A new signature LED daytime running lights divided into three sections highlight the headlamp cluster. The bonnet has been reworked for a flatter surface and gets a U-shaped masculine line for a more assertive look. A silver skid plate has been added to the front and rear bumper now, which looks like a bull bar and is finished in scratch resistant coating to take some beating. The new Duster’s beltline has been moved higher while the windscreen is raked forward by 100 mm over the outgoing model in a bid to make the cabin look more spacious. There are new aluminium finished roof bars as well along with the new 17-inch alloy wheels that sport a rather interesting design. At the rear, we particularly dig the new X-shaped tail light cluster that seems to have taken inspiration from the Jeep Renegade.

Interior

Inside the Car, it has been overhauled extensively with a brand new dashboard layout, new materials and new technology. The new dashboard uses cleaner surfaces and repositioned air vents alongside fresh instrument and a new steering wheel. There is digital switchgear for the climate control.
