The HomeGrown car manufacturer company, Tata is going to announce the price of upcoming its premium hatchback car Altroz’s turbo petrol on the coming 13th January. Currently, the Tata Altroz is available with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine, Now company going to introduced Turbo petrol engine which is also used in Tata Nexon SUV. However, the engine has been detuned for different power output. While the Nexon turbo petrol returns a claimed power of 118bhp with 170Nm of torque, the Altroz turbo petrol will be capable of 109bhp and 140Nm of torque. About transmissions are concerned, the car comes with 5-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT gearbox possible to come or maybe later after launch. The current models of Altorz are able to produce 85 bhp power and 113 Nm of torque in the petrol engine. On the other hand, diesel trim produced 89 bhp maximum power and 200 Nm of torque respectively. The company has not made any changes in the Interior and Exterior design. Visually, the new Tata Altroz turbo petrol will be exactly similar to the regular model. The spy pictures reveal that it will feature a ‘Turbo’ badging at the rear section. The carmaker might make a few changes and offer a new colour scheme. The turbocharged gasoline motor could be reserved for the mid and top-end trims. The upcoming Tata Altroz turbo petrol is likely to be launched at competitive price point. The fully-loaded top-end trim with DCT might be cost below Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). If this happens, the new Altroz variant will become more affordable offering than its arch rival – Hyundai i20 DCT – that costs between Rs 12.37 lakh – Rs 13.12 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
