Tata Motors has officially revealed the upcoming Gravitas SUV in India at Auto Expo 2020 earliear this year in the month of February. The ‘Gravitas’ is basically a six-seat version of the Harrier SUV, and will be launched in the country in the coming months. While wheelbase (2741mm) and width (1894mm) of both models are same, the Gravitas is 63mm longer and 80mm taller than its 5-seater sibling. The SUV comes with three-row seats arrangement and shares the 170bhp, 2.0 litre diesel engine from the Harrier. The second row of seats has a one-touch flip-and-fold mechanism providing easy access to the third row.

Visually, As compared to the Harrier in terms of external design, the Gravitas gets the same front fascia, as well as the side profile up to the C-pillar, But Gravitas and Harrier look different from the B-pillar onwards. The 6-seater SUV features a stepped roof accommodating the third row of seats and a longer rear overhang. Though, the tailgate remains unchanged. The larger glasshouse area makes its third row more spacious. The Gravitas also comes with a different set of diamond cut alloys.

Inside of the car, the Gravitas gets a spacious seven-seater cabin with three seating rows including captain seats on the second row. The car houses a semi-digital instrument cluster, a floating touchscreen infotainment panel with connectivity features, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. Apart from that, the SUV also gets auto-dimming IRVM, JBL sound system, and six airbags, but misses out on the panoramic sunroof.
