Tata Nano is simply known as the cheapest car since launched in back 2009, but in really there is lot more to this entry-level hatchback. Tata Nano has been updated twice since the launch. Tata Nano is still a viable option that propels them into the four wheel league from an owner of a two-wheeler. With some fresh updates the 2015 version of Nano continues the tradition of getting a new name and is dubbed Tata Nano GenX. Tata Nano GenX range comprises of five variants comprising of three manual trims and two AMT trims.

Tata Nano GenX Specifications:

The 2015 Tata Nano GenX is powered by the same old 624cc, two-cylinder MPFI petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 38bhp and a peak torque of 51Nm. Though, it’s more refined and fuel efficient than the old unit, thanks to the new cylinder head and aluminum block. A 4-speed manual transmission is available on XM and XE trims, while the 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission) gearbox is offered on EasyShift Automatic XMA and XTA variants.

Tata Nano GenX Exterior:

The new Nano GenX with significant cosmetic updates looks sportier than the old model. Though, it retains its original shape.  The car features new smoke headlamps with black bezel and large circular fog lamps, front and rear bumpers with Infinity motif grille, a piano black hood garnish and integrated tailgate spoiler. The open-able bootlid makes it more practical than before.

Tata Nano GenX Interior:

The new GenX has surely become a lot richer and more up-market product than its predecessor. It gets new-generation Tata signature electric power-assisted steering wheel with active return function and speed sensitivity, and first-in-segment color themes. Other features include Zest/ Bolt-inspired steering, first-in-segment digital information display, an Amphistream music system with USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth connectivity, surround sound effect with 4-speakers, externally adjustable ORVMs, front power windows, new interior trims, central locking remote and burglar alarm.
