The homegrown car manufacturer, Tata Motors is going to introduce all-new “Tata Safari” 7-seater SUV on upcoming 26th January. Showcased as Hexa in previous Auto Expo, the company now all set to launch the 7-seater version of New Safari. Some Tata dealers in Delhi NCRs also start excepting bookings at the sum of Rs. 51,000 already. he new Safari Edition will come with bolder exterior look and white interiors with special Safari badging. The SUV is likely to come with a large touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology and an electronic parking brake. The new Safari will be made available with 6 and 7-seats configurations. New Tata Safari will be offered in a choice of four variants of XE, XM, XT, and XZ. the new Tata Safari is likely to offer additional equipment. Upmarket features like connectivity, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, etc, would be welcome addition especially considering that the well equipped MG Hector Plus has just launched. The new Tata Safari will employ a 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine sourced from the FCA. It’s the same motor that does duty in the Harrier. The SUV will be made available with FWD system and denied for 4×4 system at all.

Tata has confirmed that a BS-6kryotec diesel engine from its Harrier family will be on offer – a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit. Power will be sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed torque-converter gearbox, though a manual gearbox option is also expected.

Visually, As compared to the Harrier in terms of external design, the New Safari gets the same front fascia, as well as the side profile up to the C-pillar, But New Safari and Harrier look different from the B-pillar onwards. The 6-seater SUV features a stepped roof accommodating the third row of seats and a longer rear overhang. Though, the tailgate remains unchanged. The larger glasshouse area makes its third-row more spacious. The New Safari also comes with a different set of diamond cut alloys. From the Inside, Inside of the car, the New Safari gets a spacious seven-seater cabin with three seating rows including captain seats on the second row. The car houses a semi-digital instrument cluster, a floating touchscreen infotainment panel with connectivity features, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. Apart from that, the SUV also gets auto-dimming IRVM, JBL sound system, and six airbags, but misses out on the panoramic sunroof.
