With sub-segments a common fashion in the Indian auto sector, the success of the Datsun GO+ might just make way for a sub 4-metre 7-seater segment in the Indian market. Based on the GO hatchback, the Datsun GO+ gets the same mechanicals as the hatchback and has met with a positive response with an affordable price of Rs. 4.33 lakhs in Indonesia. The GO+ was caught testing recently around the country, with the launch slated during the festive season this year and could see a similar pricing in India as well.
With the Wagon R ruled out, low-cost nature of the upcoming MPV gives the Indonesians a good reason to believe that the upcoming model will based on the existing Celerio to save costs.
