Vespa has launched the new Vespa RED 125 in India. The Italian manufacturer has partnered with RED, which happens to be an NGO responsible for spreading awareness for AIDS. Each Vespa RED scooter that will be sold in India will churn out a donation of USD 50 or Rs 3275 towards Global fund to fight AIDS in India. The scooter stands tall as the top model in its species and features a complete red treatment from its glossy red paint job to the red seats and plastic panels. Vespa RED 125 offer a decent braking experience is the front and rear drum brake assembly sitting on the Monocoque Steel High Rigidity Structure. Vespa RED 125 is the most expensive scooter of the 125cc range from Vespa in India.

Vespa RED 125 Specification:

Vespa RED 125 is powered by a 125 cc, 3-valve, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine generate maximum power 9.9 Bhp at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 10.6 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox. The scooty are fitted with 200 mm disc brake at the front and 140 mm drum brake at the rear. The suspension system handle by aircraft derived single side arm with an anti-dive feature at the front and dual effect hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. The bike has a fuel tank of 8 liters and it weights around 114 kg.

The scooter also gets a pass by switch to ease up the task for the rider while overtaking.
