Overview

Bentley launched the Bentayga SUV in India back in 2016. Which was powered by a W12 petrol engine. Now, two years later, the Crewe-based carmaker has launched the Bentayga with a smaller V8 petrol engine, which made its international debut in January 2018. Called the Bentayga V8, it is priced at Rs 3.78 crore (ex-showroom Mumbai). The luxury SUV comes fitted with all the bells and whistles, along with a 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine. The luxury SUV can be had with a range of customisation options to suit their personal taste.

Exterior

In terms of design and styling, there are subtle additions that the 2018 Bentley Bentayga V8 gets. The vehicle gets a muscular design with four round LED headlamps to the large matrix (mesh) grille, the Bentayga V8 exudes the Bently design DNA, high-temperature resistant Tornado red painted red brake calipers and twin-quad exhaust tailpipes at the rear. While the over powerline, large rear haunched and raised ride height reflect the rugged off-road ability of the luxury SUV. The black and chrome grille completes its sporty stance.

Interior

Inside the Car, The cabin of the vehicle is all about exquisite handcrafted materials and advanced technological features. There is a new 3-spoke wood and hide trimmed steering wheel (available in seven different veneer finishes) and carbon-fibre interior panels. Being a Bentley, the interior is highly customisable and cricket ball leather makes its debut in the Bentayga V8. The rear seat passengers are treated to the Bentley Entertainment Tablet, a removable 10.2-inch Android device with 4G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. For the audiophiles, the company is offering three different sound systems to choose from – Bentley Standard Audio, Bentley Signature Audio and Bentley Premium Audio. The latter is the most powerful system in the segment with an output of 1950 Watts.

Engine

The Bentayga V8 gets a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged petrol engine that makes 550PS of maximum power and 700Nm of peak torque, 58PS and 200Nm lesser than the W12. However, like the W12, the V8 also gets the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and sends power to all four wheels via 40:60 rear-biased all-wheel drive.
