The 2019 Kawasaki Versys 1000 has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 10.69 lakhs. This adventure motorcycle is available in only one colour for now which is the Pearl Flat Stardust White/Metallic Flat Spark Black colour.
Kawasaki showed off its new Versys 1000 at EICMA this year. Kawasaki will be launching this bike in India sometime around next April and have started accepting bookings for it now for a minimum of Rs 1.5 lakh. Kawasaki Versys already discontinued in India due to its low sales of units. But the Japanese motorcycle has decided to make significant upgrades and re-launch the adventure tourer in the Indian market. Kawasaki hasn’t mentioned how many units are up for grabs, but did mention that deliveries for the first lot will happen post April 2019. The 2019 Kawasaki Versys 1000 will be available only in Pearl Flat Stardust White/Metallic Flat Spark Black for now, and candy steel furnace orange colour will be available after-sometime after the launch . The 2019 model carries forward the same sub-frame as on the current generation. This is in the form of double-tube aluminium truss. The 2019 Kawasaki Versys 1000 comes powered by the same 1043cc, liquid-cooled, inline-4 engine producing 120 PS at 9000 RPM and 102 Nm at 7500 RPM engine. The engine is matched to a 6-speed gearbox. However, The Versys 1000 comes with 120/70/17 (front) and 180/55/17 (rear) tyres. The Versys 1000 is being assembled at the company’s Chakan plant.
