Luxury car maker BMW has introduced a new model in its BMW 5 Series in India. BMW India has launched the BMW 520d M Sport, in which the company has updated the front look of the car. 18-inch alloy wheels have been given in the model. This sedan has been launched at a price of Rs 68.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Along with this, the luxury carmaker has also discontinued two variants which include 520d Luxury Line and 50d Jahre M Edition.

The BMW 5 Series will now be available in India in only two variants, the 520d M Sport and the 530i M Sport. Talking about the new BMW 520d M Sport, the company has also given sporty exterior and revised front and rear bumpers and a new front grille.

The BMW 5 Series rivals the Audi A6, Lexus ES, Volvo S90, Jaguar XF and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. However, only the Jaguar XF and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class offer a diesel engine option. Hence, the 520d M Sport rivals the Jaguar XF D200 and the Mercedes-Benz E220d.

Talking about the engine, the company has used the existing generation engine in the new 520d M Sport. The sedan is coming with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates power of 190 hp. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Exterior

In BMW 520d M Sport, the company has updated the front look. Talking about the design in the rear, it has now been introduced with a more sporty look. That is, changes have been made in the front and rear bumpers with the look. It also gets a chrome exhaust and M-specific elements like blue brake calipers and M badge on the fenders.

Interior

Talking about its interiors, the cabin gets leather covered steering wheel, ambient lighting, heads up display, 360 degree camera, wireless phone charging and Harmon Kardon sound system.
