To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Performance M division, BMW has launched the 6 Series 50 Zahrae M Edition for a price of Rs. 72,90,000/- (ex-showroom).
German luxury carmaker BMW on Thursday launched the ’50 Jahre M Edition’ of the BMW 6 Series in India. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 72.9 lakh. The limited model has been launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH, a subsidiary of BMW AG, the automaker said in a statement.
The company said that it will be manufactured at BMW’s Chennai plant, where the petrol variant of its exclusive edition BMW 630i M Sport will be made. The vehicle will be available to a limited number of customers and the bespoke model can be booked online through the company’s portal from Thursday.
This model comes with a 2-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum of 258 hp which accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 6.5 seconds. BMW India recently announced that it will launch 10 units of the ’50 Jahr M Edition’ to celebrate its sub-brand M.

The car comes with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The car is powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that generates maximum power of 258 hp and peak torque of 400 Nm. This engine is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. The steering wheel in the car is equipped with features like paddle shifters and cruise control with braking function. This car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.5 seconds.

BMW 630i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition – Exterior and Interior
The Several new design elements have been given in the exterior of the 50 Zahere Edition. The M logo is inspired by the classic ‘BMW Motorsport’ logo. This logo is also given in the wheel cap. This special edition car is available in Tanzanite Blue Metallic, M Carbon Black, Bernina Gray Amber Effect and Mineral White colours.
Inside the cabin, the car comes with a modern cockpit concept. This includes BMW Live Cockpit Professional with BMW Operating System 7.0 with 3D navigation, 12.3-inch digital instrument display and 12.3-inch control display. BMW Virtual Assistant has been used in this car which makes it quite modern. Through this feature, people sitting inside the car can do many things just by speaking. Apart from this, wireless charging for mobile phones, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available.

One of the highlights of the car’s performance is the use of standard adaptive 2-axle air suspension. In which it has the feature of self leveling which maintains a constant height irrespective of the load.
