BMW iX Electric SUV has been officially launched in India. BMW has fixed the price of its first electric SUV iX in the Indian market at Rs 1,15,90,000 (1.16 crore). The BMW iX electric SUV will be sold in India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. Equipped with an attractive look and extremely premium features, this electric car has secured the highest 5-star rating in all test categories in the Euro NCAP crash test. Which makes it the safest car. BMW is about to enter the premium electric SUV segment in India with the iX. The BMW iX is the company’s flagship electric car. The BMW iX will compete with the likes of Mercedes-Benz EQC , Audi e-tron and Porsche Taycan in India. The BMW iX Electric SUV has been launched in India for Rs 1.16 crore (ex-showroom price) and those who want to buy it can book and buy it from the BMW iX online site or by visiting BMW dealerships across the country. . Its delivery will start in April next year.
The BMW iX is based on an all-new aluminum spaceframe and is almost identical in size to the BMW X5. The car uses BMW’s fifth generation all-electric platform, which includes two electric motors. In the international market, the BMW iX comes in two variants – xDrive 40 and xDrive 50.

BMW’s new electric SUV is powered by two electric motors with BMW eDrive technology support. Its xDrive 40 can generate 326bhp power and 630Nm torque. The company claims that it can run from 0-100kmph in just 6.1 seconds. Talking about charging, it can be charged up to 80 percent in just 31 minutes with the help of 150kW DC charger, while this electric SUV takes about one and a half hours to fully charge with a 50kW DC charger.
