Another new car has entered the small electric car segment. BYD Auto, one of the world’s largest electric car companies, has launched BYD Seagull. It is a small 5 door electric car that comes with great features and range. The Chinese electric car manufacturer has launched this car at the Shanghai Auto Show 2023. Talking about the price, its price is around 9.4 lakh rupees. Booking of BYD Seagull has also started. It has received 10,000 orders in just 24 hours.

Talking about the look and design, Seagull is a 5-door electric hatchback car, It has a sleek rear profile with ice-breaking and connected LED taillights with projectors. It gets Nano-like single windshield wiper, pull-up style door handles and steel wheels with stylized covers.

Interior Features:-

Talking about the interior of the Seagull car, it gets 5-inch instrument console, 12.8-inch infotainment screen, flat-bottom steering wheel, layered dashboard, powered drive seat, integrated wireless charging post and cup-holders. Gets a higher premium. The biggest competitor of the Sagul in the Chinese market is the Billing Bingo electric hatchback. Which is prepared by SAIC-GM Wooling JV. The Bingo gets a bigger battery pack which gives more range than the Seagull.

The Seagull is built on BYD’s e-platform 3.0 skateboard. Its 30kwh battery pack gives a range of 305km. The same, 38kwh battery pack gives a range of 405km. Its top speed is up to 130km/h. The company has introduced it for such customers who want to switch from fuel vehicles to electric vehicles. If launched in the Indian market, then it can give a jolt to the Tata Tiago EV and the Tata Nexon EV. Because the starting price of Tiago EV ranges from Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh while Seagull Kama offers more range and premium feel in the price range.
