Citroën has launched today its new electric hatchback car Citroën eC3 in the Indian market. Adorned with attractive looks and powerful electric motor, the starting price of this car has been fixed at Rs 11.50 lakh. Visually, this car is exactly like its petrol (ICE) powered variant, the price of its top variant has been fixed at Rs 12.43 lakh. The company has already started its booking, for which Rs 25,000 will have to be deposited as booking amount. At present it is running in 25 cities of the country.

As we told you above, apart from the electric powertrain and battery pack in this car, there has been no change in the exterior. Similarly, this car is available in two variants Live and Feel. Like the petrol model, this car also gets 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4 speakers, height adjustable seats and connected car technology. It also has 35 smart features that give you accurate information about the car’s charging status, driving behavior and location etc.
Citroen eC3: Warranty
The company is offering 7 years/1,40,000 kms warranty on the battery pack, 5 years/1,00,000 kms warranty on the electric motor and 3 years/1,25,000 kms warranty on the electric hatchback. Apart from this, extended warranty is also being given on electric motor and battery, for which customers will have to spend extra money.
Citroen eC3 EV: Range and Charging
The new Citroen eC3 electric car comes with a driving range of 320 kilometers (ARAI) on a single charge. The company has given two charging options for this car. With the help of DC fast charger, the battery of this car gets charged from 10% to 80% in just 57 minutes. There is also a 3.3kW onboard AC charger, which also supports CCS2 fast charging. With this charger, it takes about 10.5 hours for its battery to be fully charged.
Citroen eC3 EV – Battery Specifications
In the Citroen eC3, the company has used a 29.2kWh battery pack, which powers the front axle-mounted electric motor. Its electric motor generates 57hp power and 143Nm peak torque. The company claims that the new electric car eC3 is capable of accelerating from 0-60 kmph in just 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 107 kmph. In this car, along with the regenerative braking system, two driving modes have also been given, which include Eco and Standard.

Citroen eC3 EV – Design
Exterior
In terms of design, Citroen C3 ev, the concept is the electric version of the Citroen hatchback. Its silhouette, design language and seating are similar to its petrol model. However, the electric version gets a close-off front grille, LED lights on the bumper, bumper mounted headlamps, angular stance and a sharper designed bonnet.
Even though it is based on the Citroen, the car gets significant changes that make it look very different. While the final product might look slightly different from what Citroen showcased, the car still looks very different from the Citroen. However, the rear of the car looks quite similar to the Citroen. Citroen has changed the bumper design of the C3 ev.
Interior
The Electric version of C3 comes with a large 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is enabled with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Apart from this, it also gets a four-speaker audio system, steering-mounted controls, a digital instrument cluster, etc. As far as safety features are concerned, the car is offered with dual front airbags, seat belt reminder, reverse parking sensor, ABS. with EBD, etc.
