The Italian bike manufacturer company Ducati introduced the adventure touring bike Multistrada in India on 2010. Multistrada is the aggressive looking hybrid of a supermoto and a adventure touring bike. Multistrada is one of its most advanced innovation from Ducati. It can be changed to sport, touring, urban or enduro bike by using a controller on-board. Ducati Multistrada will be available in four versions in India – Ducati Multistrada 1200 , Ducati Multistrada 1200 S, Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak and Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak.

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Overview: The Italian bike manufacturer company Ducati announced that the limited edition Pikes Peak 100th Anniversary replica kit for the 2016 Multistrada 1200. Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is a proper adventure touring variant with greater off-road capabilities. Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak has now been filled with a new model, fittingly named the Multistrada 1200 Enduro. The 2016 Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak edition celebrates the centennial of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC). The limited edition version also commemorates the Italian manufacturer’s six victories at PPIHC and the current course record. The bike come with touring capability better performance with race inspired looks and cutting edge technology with Ducati Safety Pack (DPS). Multistrada 1200 Enduro gets several advanced safety features including Ducati Safety Pack (DSP), which further includes Bosch 9ME ABS technology with three mapping, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) with eight operation levels and cruise control. The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak comes with Pikes Peak 100th anniversary logo and gets red and white livery with a Ducati red chassis.’

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Specification: Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is powered by a 1198.4 cc, Ducati Testastretta DVT with Desmodromic Variable Timing, L-Twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder, dual spark, liquid cooled engine. The engine generate maximum power 160 Hp at 9500 Rpm and and a peak maximum torque of 136 Nm at 7500 Rpm. The engine is mated to a six speed gearbox. The bike uses Ducati Safety Pack twin 320 mm semi-floating discs, radially mounted monoblocco Brembo calipers, 4-piston, 2-pad, with cornering Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard equipment at the front and 265 mm disc, 2-piston floating caliper, with cornering Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard equipment at the rear. The brakes are equipped with Bosch 9ME electronically adjustable Anti-lock Braking System which makes it more responsive. The suspension work is handled by Ohlins 48 mm fully adjustable usd fork with TiN treatment at the front and Fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 unit with aluminum single-sided swingarm at the rear end. Both the suspensions are integrated with electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment with Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) technology. The bike has a fuel tank of 30 liters and it weights around 231 kg.
