The Italian bike manufacturer company Ducati introduced the adventure touring bike Multistrada in India on 2010. Multistrada is the aggressive looking hybrid of a supermoto and a adventure touring bike. Multistrada is one of its most advanced innovation from Ducati. It can be changed to sport, touring, urban or enduro bike by using a controller on-board. Ducati Multistrada will be available in four versions in India – Ducati Multistrada 1200, Ducati Multistrada 1200 S, Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro and Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak.

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Overview: Ducati Multistrada 1200 is the base variant model. The bike can can be ride on road as well as off road. Ducati Multistrada bike boasts of riding modes, power modes, Ducati wheelie control, cruise control, hands-free, back-lit handlebar switches anti-theft preparation and Ducati Safety Pack with cornering Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) or Ducati Traction Control (DTC). The new age Multistrada come with loaded features twin LED headlights with parking lights, stylish cowl with an integrated transparent visor, and the adjustable visor which has been designed really well makes it look like a touring bike. Multistrada is equipped with a big LCD in its dashboard which displays the digital speedometer, trip-meter, odometer, tachometer and fuel gauge. For the adventure touring bike safety purpose the LED headlights of this bike are capable enough to give you bright view of roads at nights.

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Specification: Ducati Multistrada 1200 is powered by a 1198.4 cc, Ducati Testastretta DVT with Desmodromic Variable Timing, L-Twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder, dual spark, liquid cooled engine. The engine generate maximum power 160 Hp at 9500 Rpm and and a peak maximum torque of 136 Nm at 7500 Rpm. The engine is mated to a six speed gearbox. The bike uses Ducati Safety Pack twin 320 mm semi-floating discs, radially mounted monoblocco Brembo calipers, 4-piston, 2-pad, with cornering Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard equipment at the front and 265 mm disc, 2-piston floating caliper, with cornering Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard equipment at the rear. The brakes are equipped with Bosch 9ME electronically adjustable Anti-lock Braking System which makes it more responsive. The suspension work is handled by with 48 mm electronically adjustable upside down suspension unit at the front and electronic spring pre-load adjustment at the rear end. Both the suspensions are integrated with electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment with Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) technology. The bike has a fuel tank of 20 liters and it weights around 232 kg.
