Overview
The 2018 Ducati Multistrada 1260 and the 1260 S have been launched in India priced at Rs. 15.99 lakhs and Rs. 18.06 lakhs (ex-showroom, India) respectively. The Multistrada 1260 range is the flagship Ducati adventure touring motorcycle in India. Globally, the vehicle is offered in four variants – Multistrada 1260, Multistrada 1260 S, Multistrada 1260 D-Air and Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak.
Design & Features
Visually, the Multistrada 1260 gets a slightly revised fairing to improve airflow and lighter five-spoke wheels. The Multistrada 1260 is based on a similar architecture, although the steering rake has been increased by one degree. It also gets a new 1262cc V-twin DVT powertrain previously seen in the XDiavel.

Engine Specification
Both the Multistrada 1260’s share the same 1262cc L-twin Ducati Testastretta DVT engine that produces 160PS at 9500rpm and 129.5Nm at 7500rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox. Compared to the Multistrada 1200 the new bike is down on torque by 6.5Nm. However, Ducati has tuned the Multistrada 1260’s engine to deliver 85 per cent of its torque at revs as low as 3500rpm and 18 per cent more torque at 5500rpm as compared to the outgoing model.
