Ferrari has introduced an open-top version of the 296 GTB in the Indian market, which has been named the Ferrari 296 GTS. The convertible supercar was introduced in the global market in April last year and has now been launched in India. The new Ferrari 296 GTS has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 6.24 crore. A 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine has been used to power the Ferrari 296 GTS, along with an electric motor.

The new Ferrari 296 GTS convertible has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 6.24 crore. In comparison, the Ferrari 296 GTB costs Rs 5.40 crore (ex-showroom). The Ferrari 296 GTS will compete with the McLaren 720S Spider in the market. Equipped with stunning looks and a powerful engine, this car has a lot in it that every sports car lover would love. Look & Design

In terms of looks and design, the new Ferrari 296 GTS is quite similar to the 296 GTB. Minor changes have been made to the design to give a convertible roofline. The Ferrari 296 GTS has a retractable hardtop which is placed inside the engine compartment and can be opened or closed in 14 seconds at speeds up to 45 kmph. Being a luxury sports car, this car from Ferrari also gets a lot of features. While this Ferrari model has a long list of cabin features, the highlights of the 296 GTS are a clean dashboard layout with a digital instrument cluster, haptic controls and a new steering wheel.

Ferrari 296 GTS: Power and Performance:

Powering the Ferrari 296 GTS is a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that comes with an electric motor. The combined output of this hybrid powertrain is 830 bhp and it generates 740 Nm of peak torque. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Ferrari claims that the 296 GTS can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed of Ferrari 296 GTS is 330 kmph.

The supercar can go up to 25 km in pure EV mode and can reach a top speed of 135 kmph. The battery pack size is 7.45 kWh which is placed behind the seats. Being a plug-in hybrid, the battery pack can be charged in 1 hour via the charger.
