The Harley Davidson V Rod is now discontinued in India.
The VRSC was introduced in 2001 in a single model called the V-Rod. The V-Rod was developed to compete against Japanese and American muscle bikes. The “V-Rod” made use of the Revolution engine, developed jointly with Porsche that, for the first time used overhead cams and liquid cooling. Unlike other Harley production motorcycles, a 60-degree V-twin engine, the radiator and the hydroformed frame members support the round-topped air cleaner cover. The fuel tank on the V-Rod is located underneath the seat, placing the rider on top of it, rather than the usual frontal placement.

When launched, the motorcycle was considered quite an important model as it featured a liquid-cooled engine instead of the typical air-cooled engines that were used in all others Harleys during the time.
Harley Davidson V Rod Specifications : Power comes courtesy the 1250cc V-Twin engine which puts out around 120bhp and 115Nm of torque, giving the rider plenty of grunt on the road. Weighing nearly 300 kilograms, the V-Rod is quite hefty for its size although Harley-Davidson promises stable and reassuring handling thanks to the log wheelbase and fat rubber tyres both at front and the rear.
