Talking about the engine, the Hyundai Alcazar has been launched with only one 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine. This engine provides 159 bhp power and 191 Nm torque. It is mated to a 6-speed MT or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The Hyundai Creta, on the other hand, is being sold with three engine options. These include the first 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (115 bhp), the second 1.4-litre turbo-petrol (140 bhp) and the third 1.5-litre diesel (115 bhp) engine. They get the option of 6-speed MT and CVT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed MT and AT gearboxes.
