The country’s largest telecom company Reliance Jio (Jio) on Friday (November 18) has started its Jio True 5G service in NCR cities like Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad as well. In this way, the company has now become the only telecom operator to provide true-5G services in Delhi-NCR area including Delhi.
Jio is rapidly rolling out the True-5G network in the country. Apart from Delhi, Reliance Jio has already started its True-5G service in Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Nathdwara. Delhi-NCR is the newest in this list. Reliance Jio launched 5G service in the country during the festive season. Now the company’s plan is to start 5G service in every corner of the country by December 2023.
According to the company, its network signals will be available in all important areas and areas of Delhi-NCR. Jio True-5G network will be available in most residential areas, Hospitals, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Government buildings, Malls, Major markets, Tech parks and Metro stations.

Lakhs of users are already using Jio True-5G service in Delhi. After the launch of 5G service in the NCR region, Jio users will also start receiving invites for the ‘Jio Welcome Offer’. - This will work only if the Jio customer has a valid active base plan of Rs 239 or higher for prepaid and all postpaid users
How to start 5G Service on Android phone ?
- To enable 5G on Android phone, first go to the mobile settings.
- After this go to the network settings of the phone and reach the preferred network.
- Here you will get the option of different networks of the phone like 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G.
- Select 5G in your preferred network and exit Settings.
- As soon as your phone comes in 5G network, the phone will automatically switch from 4G to 5G.
