After its new SUV Scorpio-N, Mahindra & Mahindra also launched the new Scorpio Classic in the Indian market, priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). While the Scorpio-N was all-new in terms of looks and features, the Scorpio Classic has been introduced with a few cosmetic and mechanical changes over the old Scorpio. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic has been introduced in India in two variants, with the Scorpio Classic S priced at Rs 11.99 lakh and the Scorpio Classic S11 priced at Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Scorpio Classic is offered with 7 seater and 9 seater options, with the 7 seater getting middle row captain seats while the 9 seater option gets dual bench seats at the rear.
Better SUV Control:
The suspension setup has also been slightly upgraded. Mahindra has added MTV-CL dampers to all the four struts. This should help control the body of the SUV. Along with this the suspension has been re-tuned. The manufacturer has also worked on the steering system to make it easier to handle and carry.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic – Engine Specifications:
Talking about the engine and power of the new Scorpio Classic SUV, it has a new 2.2 liter second generation mHawk turbo diesel engine, which will generate 132 bhp power and 300 Nm torque. 6-speed manual gearbox will be seen in this SUV. The new engine of Scorpio Classic is 55 kg lighter than the old engine.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic – Exterior:
No changes have been made to the basic look of the old Scorpio model. However, the Scorpio Classic gets a redesigned grille with chrome slats and a new Mahindra logo at the centre. The bumper and bonnet of the SUV have been made bolder and more attractive than before. New DRLs have been found on the side of the grille. At the rear, the SUV gets the signature Scorpio Tower LED tail lamps. Also, the SUV gets redesigned 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic – Interior:
Coming to the cabin, the new Scorpio Classic gets a dual-tone theme inside the cabin. It has a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that runs on Android. It also supports screen mirroring. Apart from this, there are other premium features as well. The dashboard now gets wooden inserts and the cabin is offered in a combination of black and beige. The steering wheel now gets a leather finish and piano-black inserts. The seats are also new and made of fabric but with a new pattern.
