Indian SUV specialist company Mahindra has launched the first electric SUV XUV400 EV. This car has been launched in the market with an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 15.99 lakh. At the same time, the ex-showroom price of the most expensive variant is Rs. 18.99 lakhs. However, these are introductory prices and will be applicable for the initial booking of 5,000 units of each variant. After this, the prices of the latest electric SUV can be increased.
Mahindra has launched the XUV400 EV in two variants – EC and EL. The booking of the latest electric SUV will start from January 26. At the same time, its delivery is expected to start from March. Currently, the Tata Nexon EV is the best selling electric SUV in India. Now it has to be seen how much the sales of Tata Nexon EV will be affected by the arrival of Mahindra’s electric SUV.

Battery & Range
Mahindra XUV400 EV comes with two battery pack options. Its EC variant will get a 34.5kWh battery pack and EL variant will get a 39.4kWh battery pack. The company claims that this car can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 8.3 seconds. Whereas, its top speed is 150 kmph. Once fully charged, the 34.5kWh battery version of the electric SUV will run 375 km and the 39.4kWh battery version will run 456 km.

Mahindra XUV400 EV: Battery Charging
It can be charged up to 0-80 percent within 50 minutes using a 50kW DC fast charger. Apart from this, the electric SUV can be charged from 0-100 percent in 6 hours 30 minutes using a 7.2kW charger or in 13 hours with a 3.3kW AC charger.
Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV: Car Design
The design of the latest electric car is almost identical to that of the XUV300 SUV. The front of the car gets LED headlamps, on top of which are DRLs, which go through the headlamps to the bumpers below. It gets the twin-peaks Mahindra logo. Apart from this, the car also gets diamond-cut alloy-wheels. Mahindra XUV400 comes with advanced features like drive mode based digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, Type-C charging outlet and many more. Apart from this, the car supports BlueSense Plus mobile app with 60+ connectivity features along with smartwatch connectivity.
In this SUV, the company has given features like electric sunroof, digital instrumental cluster, aerodynamically designed 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control system, auto headlamps with rain sensing wipers, Type-C charging outlet. At present, this electric SUV has been displayed only and its price has not been announced, very soon this SUV will be available for sale in the market. Tata Nexon EV’s troubles are definitely going to increase after the new Mahindra XUV 400 hits the market.
