The XUV400 is very similar in appearance to the XUV300, but it is slightly longer in length. This electric car has been built on MESMA i.e. Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture Platform. In this, a new logo of Mahindra has been given at the front. While the Tata Nexon EV has been designed similar to the petrol model Nexon with minor cosmetic changes. It gets full LED lighting and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The XUV 400 will get a 39.5kW battery pack, which churns out 150 Bhp of maximum power and 310 Nm of peak torque. Tata Motors has given the Nexon EV a more powerful battery pack in its EV Max variant with a 40.5kWh battery pack, which can generate a maximum power of 129 PS and a maximum torque of 250 Nm.

Mahindra claims that the new car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds. Tata Nexon EV Max, on the other hand, accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 9 seconds.
