There is great news for millions of people waiting for the launch of the next generation model of Maruti Suzuki’s most affordable car Alto, that is, the All New Alto 2022. Yes, news is coming that the new Maruti Alto can be launched in India on 18th August. Its testing has been going on for a long time and in the past, its glimpse has also been seen during the TVC shoot. The new Alto 2022 will see a host of latest features including better exterior and interior, more space and height than the current model.
The next generation Alto 2022 has been developed on Maruti Suzuki’s lightweight HEARTECT platform. Popular hatchbacks like S-Presso, Wagon R and Celerio are based on this platform. The new Alto is longer and taller than its old model and is also more spacious. Many features of the Celerio 2022 launched this year can be seen in the new Alto. If the leaked images are to be believed, then it will get a bigger grille, new headlamps and bumpers, better taillights as well as a special rear profile and new roofline.

2022 Alto is expected to be launched next month just before the start of the festive season this year. According to reports, the third generation Maruti Alto has reached the trial production stage at the company’s plant in Gurugram.

2022 Maruti Alto: Exterior Design
The new generation Alto is going to get several cosmetic updates. The car will get a bold shoulder line. Apart from this, reworked rear bumper and tail lamp cluster will also be available. However, alloy wheels may not be available in it as the wheel caps are visible in the pictures. But, going by the leaked pictures of the new Alto, it is not difficult to say that efforts have been made in the past to improve its look. It will also get new fog lamp housing, new headlights and a redesigned grille.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto: Interior
Talking about the interiors, the new dashboard layout is a major change. Moreover, the revision in the feature list makes the interior of the Alto 3rd Gen one of the best compact entry level hatchback out there. The new Alto 2022 will get many new features. It will get a brand new dashboard, improved console, new touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, keyless entry, push button start stop and many more features that are not available in the current model.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto: Engine
Talking about engine and power, the new Alto 2022 will get 796cc 3 cylinder petrol engine as well as 1.0 liter K10C DualJet petrol engine, which produces 47 bhp power and 69 Nm torque respectively as well as 67 bhp power and Will generate 89Nm torque. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be seen in the new Alto. The CNG model of the new Alto will have better mileage.
