After a long wait, Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the CNG variant of the Baleno. The company will sell them in the market as Baleno S-CNG. Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG has been brought at a price of Rs 8.28 lakh in Delta (MT) and Rs 9.21 lakh in Zeta (MT). All prices are applicable on ex-showroom basis. The Baleno CNG will compete directly with the Toyota Glanza CNG. The Baleno CNG also competes with the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz, but all three do not have a factory fitted CNG kit.
Talking about Baleno CNG, it has been made available in 1.2 liter Dualjet CNG engine. In CNG mode, the Baleno will generate 76 Bhp of power and 98.5 Nm of torque. Talking about mileage, Baleno CNG will give a mileage of 30.61 km/kg CNG. Whereas Baleno offers a mileage of 23 kmpl in the CNG model.
Apart from this, Maruti’s next CNG model also includes the name of Brezza compact SUV, which could be the first CNG SUV to be offered with an automatic gearbox. The power and torque output of the Maruti Brezza CNG is expected to be similar to that of the Ertiga.

Looks and design
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG will get a redesigned wide front grille along with a new set of LED headlights with three-element DRLs. Apart from chrome treatment on the window lines, redesigned 10-spoke alloy wheels have been given on the side of the new Baleno. The rear of the car will get new LED wraparound taillights and the rear bumper has also been updated for a more rounded look. The Baleno CNG has a 55-litre CNG tank, which means it will get less boot space than the CNG variant.
Interiors
Talking about the tech features given in Baleno’s CNG car, it has a 7-inch infotainment system, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Cruise control feature is available in Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno S-CNG. At the same time, for safety, 6 airbags have been given as standard in it. The 2022 Baleno comes with a new 9-inch digital touchscreen infotainment system, 360-view camera, a Heads Up Display (HUD) screen, ARKAMYS audio system. Apart from this, the car will also get a new digital instrument cluster, updated steering wheel and new switches for climate control. The upholstery has also been changed for a fresh look on the inside of the vehicle.

Talking about its performance, its engine generates maximum power of 76 BHP at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 98.5 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The engine of Baleno S-CNG is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
