Mercedes-Benz EQB has been launched in the Indian market. Mercedes-Benz EQB electric SUV has been launched in the market at a price of Rs 74.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Let us tell you that the company has introduced GLB in 7 seater only in front of GLC Luxury. At the same time, the dimensions of EQB are also common with GLB. But the only difference is that it runs on electricity. With these two SUVs, the manufacturer aims to increase its overall product line up and further strengthen its position in the market.
The EQB SUVs are 7-seaters with foldable third row and second row seats. The third row of seats is quite useful for kids and pets. The EQB electric SUV comes with 8 years of battery warranty. At present, this electric car is imported into India through the CBU route.
Mercedes-Benz EQB Exterior Design:
On the design front, The EQB shares the same architecture as the GLB and also retains the basic design silhouette as well. However, there are a few design elements on the EQB, previously seen on the EQC and EQS, that make it stand out from the GLB. These include details like a blanked-off front grille, a tweaked design for the headlights and tail-lights, reprofiled front and rear bumpers and a full-width LED light bar at the front and at the rear. The EQB sports 18-inch alloy wheels.
Mercedes-Benz EQB Interior:
On the inside, the big attraction is the large 12.3-inch dual-screen display that is angled towards the driver and is used for both instrumentation and infotainment. The SUV also gets the latest MBUX infotainment system with Me, Mercedes, offering a range of connected car functions and voice command features. The SUV also gets a multi-functional steering wheel and a signature centre console with the trackpad to control other in-car functions. Other features include automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats with massage function, and a premium Burmester audio system and smartphone connectivity in the form of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Mercedes-Benz EQB Engine:
The EQB 300 4Matic makes use of a dual-motor setup with peak outputs of 228 BHP and 390 Nm. Mercedes claims that this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8 seconds and its top speed is 160 kmph.
The EQB gets a 66.5 kWh battery pack that gives a maximum range of 388 to 423 km (WLTP cycle) on a single charge. The car comes with an 11 kW AC charger. But using a 100 kW DC fast-charger, the battery can be recharged from 10 to 80 percent in 32 minutes.
