The Hector was launched in 2019 and its got popular in a very short period and after the success of SUV company launched Hector Plus 6-seater variant latter, now company launched 6-7 seater version in the market. What’s a new offering in the facelift variant is larger 18-inch alloy wheels instead of 17-inch old alloys and some cosmetics updates with dual-tone upholstery. Mechanically, the car remains unchanged and coming with the same engine options as old car offerings. The powertrain and transmission options in the 2021 MG Hector Facelift include 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (143PS and 250Nm) with 6-speed MT and 6-speed DCT, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol hybrid (143PS and 250Nm) with 6-speed MT and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel (170PS and 350Nm) with 6-speed MT. The MG Hector Plus is available in four variants — Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. The facelifted MG Hector continue to rivals with the Mahindra XUV500, the 2021 Jeep Compass, and Tata Harrier.

The updated Hector only gets minor cosmetic updates from the model currently on sale. Notable changes to the exterior include a tweaked grille and new design alloy wheels that are larger than earlier – 18-inchers as against the pre-facelift’s 17-inch units. Inside, the outgoing model’s all-black theme has been replaced with a new dual-tone one that’s meant to improve cabin ambience. In terms of cabin design, little will be changed from the current model on sale, though expect the updated SUV to pack in some additional features.
