Mini Paddy Hopkirk Special Edition Launched, The MINI Paddy Hopkirk edition is available at a price tag of Rs 41.70 lakh.

The luxury car manufacturer MINI today launched a limited edition of its very famous car of “Mini Cooper”. The company clear that only 15 units will be available for Indian customers which completely CBU routes. Based on the MINI Cooper S, the Paddy Hopkirk edition has a 2-litre 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol motor making 192 HP and 280 Nm which is mated to a 7-speed Steptronic sport transmission. The only motive to launch this edition variant to just rejoice the victory winning in back 1964 monte Carlo rally when Mini Cooper got 3 wins with Paddy Hopkirk (car racer). It has been a few decades since the feat was achieved, nonetheless, MINI has come up with the modern interpretation of the very car Paddy drove back in the day. The Paddy Hopkirk Edition costs a significant Rs 6.6 lakh more than the standard 3-door Mini Cooper S. The added price, however, gets you additional kit over the standard hot hatchback aside from the edition-specific styling bits.

Exterior

Design-wise, The Paddy Hopkirk Edition comes finished in a Chilli Red paint shade with a contrast white finished roof and black finished wing mirror caps. The bonnet features an off-set white racing stripe featuring Hopkirk’s signature and the characters ‘33EJB’ the number plate of the 1964 Monte Carlo rally winning Mini. The doors feature no. 37 stickers – the number of Hopkirk’s car. Round the back, the tailgate to feature’s Hopkin’s signature. The chrome detailing too is darkened (option on the standard Cooper S) to add to the sporting look.

Interior

Inside, the cabin features black leatherette upholstery with a piano black trim along with featuring Hopkirk’s signature on the dash and on the illuminated scuff plates. Compared to the standard Cooper S, the Paddy Hopkirk Edition gets added standard equipment in the form of a rearview camera, panoramic sunroof, key-less entry and the John Cooper Works steering wheel – paid options on the regular Mini.
