Tata Motors has launched BS6 Tiago with a 1.2-litre litre petrol engine. The said engine generates 84hp and 113Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT. The Tiago comes in eight variants – XE, XT, XZ, XZA, XZ+ dual-tone with a manual transmission, while XZA, XZA plus and XZA plus with the dual-tone roof are on offer with an automatic gearbox. In terms of safety, the manufacturer has equipped the car with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, over-speed alert and rear parking sensors as standard. The Tiago prices start at Rs 4.60 lakh ex-showroom. The Tata Tiago competes with Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Hyundai Santro.
